Cancer is a constant battle.
It is indiscriminant in it’s choice of victims, relentless in it’s viciousness and an ever growing ‘disease’ for which at every point of gathering current information in the fight against it, manages to develop faster or appear in a more hostile form which is nearly untreatable. Cancer statistics are on the rise and although it may not be on the frontline for global concern – like Aids/HIV, the statistics are alarming… But with continued support to both the organisations that make the difference in funding research, to the individuals who have watched helplessly as precious life is taken from loved ones and mostly to the survivors – it’s great to play a part in it all (however small).
As did I when approached to do the design work the Cancer Survivors ‘CANSA’ Calendar 2012-2013. It runs from April 2012 to March 2013, as it will be distributed to the cancer survivors present at the 2012 Relay For Life event which is being held during March this year. All illustrations were done by myself, along with the layout and overall concept. I thought it turned out really sweet 🙂 and hope it will brighten the day a bit more for those individuals who have already been through so much.
